What to expect
Step One: The Intake Interview

*A copy of your insurance card is required.

The first step in our autism evaluation will be the intake interview. This will assist us with gaining a clearer  understanding of your child's psychological history and what challenges he or she may be facing.

Durning the interview, we will evaluate your child's abilities in the following key areas:

1. Your child's abilities to communicate and their ability to comprehened.

2. Your child's ability to feed, dress,  and  preform other related tasks.

3. Your child's social skills, how he or she interacts with others.

The intake interview objective is to obtain extensive background information. The interveiw will be conducted with only family members in attendance. The interview should not last longer than an hour.

We ask that in addition to your child being present that you also have  your child's medical and academic records, along with any previous evaluation he or she may have had.

Step Two: The Evaluation

Once the  information from the intake interview has been reviewed, the formal evaluation will be scheduled.

1. The evaluation will last approximately an hour.  Your child and

all immediate family members should attend this session.

2. Intake interveiw observations will be reviewed.

3. The information acquired from your child's psychological

      evaluation will be reviewed

4. Any additional questions we may have or any questions you

have will be addressed at that time.

Assessment and Planning

Due to each case being unique, you may be required  to    have additional tests performed. The purpose of these tests will  be to establish a clear and concise assessment of your child's abilities. Hence, positive treatment outcomes are more likely to transpire.

Step Three: The Evaluation Final                                              Meeting

In our final meeting, you will receive a detailed report of the evaluation that was conducted during the intake process. Any additional questions you may have will be addressed at that time.  We encourage you to share your evaluation report with your healthcare provider and/or child's educator so that they can prepare a more effective lesson plan. There are various therapeutic options available, we will help to design one that works best for you and your child.
